David Damkehler

David Damkoehler is a Professor Emeritus, Art and Design, at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where he taught for 39 ½ years. He is a widely recognized artist and designer who has an extensive national and international record of exhibitions and commissions. His stainless steel artwork encompasses jewelry, Judaica, flatware, teapots and other objects. He is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Arts & Design, New York, New York, the Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit, Michigan, represented in the corporate collection of Celestial Seasonings and the Sonny Kamm collection, He has been the subject of featured articles in craft journals and exhibition catalogues. The book, Teapots Transformed, Exploration of the Object by Leslie Ferrin, places Professor Damkoehler with a select group of American and international contemporary craft artists.
